Prescott, Arizona is located in Arizona's high country, just 90 miles north of Phoenix. Combining the dulcet sounds of some of the nation's most outstanding jazz musicians with the moderate summer temperatures and towering shade trees of Prescott means 'cool' is a word you'll no doubt utter often during the Annual Prescott Jazz Summit...
Our History
The Prescott Jazz Summit is in its eleventh year as a successful jazz festival, with strong ties to the music education community.
We book well-known jazz musicians from all over the United States and Arizona, as well as many of our own local musicians.
2011 will be even bigger and better and we need your help to make our festival happen.
Community Education
In keeping with our dedication to music education, we have had musical groups make assembly presentations in Prescott schools, at no charge to the schools.
We have also performed jazz workshops that have been attended by high school jazz bands from all over our state, and have donated funds to local high school music programs.
Howlin' at the Highlands
We continue to bring musicians to our area to perform for our jazz fans as well as work to educate our young people about "America's True Art Form", JAZZ MUSIC.
The Prescott Jazz Summit has now expanded our endeavors to presenting jazz music in the quad-city area all year long,
and one of our most successful concert series events has been "Howlin' at the Highlands" at the Highlands Center for Natural History.
As with symphony orchestras, festivals, and other non-profit corporations, we can't pay the bills on ticket sales alone.
We hope you will see fit to become a sponsor for our 2011 festival, or take out an ad in our commemorative program, or help sponsor all the educational programs we are planning to present to local young people.
We are sponsored by Friends of Big Band Jazz, a 501c3 Non Profit Corporation, so your sponsorships are tax deductable.
Please get in touch with us and we will send you a complete sponsorship package.
We hope to partner with many more local businesses and individuals to make the Prescott Jazz Summit even more successful in the future.
